Kinross Gold Corporation is North America's third-largest gold producer.
When their new president, Tye W. Burt came on board, Kinross approached us to create an alternative to what they perceived was a dark and "moody" den of private offices.
GIOTAN was asked to create an attractive open work environment that was still formal enough to meet the needs of the company's executives. To accomplish this, we improved the overall lighting, selected a warmer colour palette for the walls, and installed light woods in the reception and high-impact areas.
Meanwhile, we tried to draw as much natural light as possible into the back offices through the use of satellites. Back offices were also fitted with premium workstations and dynamic area carpets for an elegant but more contemporary effect.
