Learning Tree International: New Premises

Learning Tree International is a global leader in hands-on training for management and technology professions.

When the institution wanted to move its local education centre to bigger and newer facilities, they turned to the firm that had designed their previous centre: GIOTAN.

"The functionality, efficiency and effectiveness of our Toronto location has exceeded all expectations, while contributing to a higher degree of profitability and attendee satisfaction.

"After more than nine years, the location still has much of its 'just-moved-in" look and feel, even with more than 100 people utilizing the space each week."

-Scott G. Elliott C.M.A., Controller, Learning Tree International Inc.

Naturally, the new space had to incorporate the latest in networking technology. However, the client also wanted to optimize student traffic flow. One way we addressed this latter goal was by building two small lounges instead of one large one in order to reduce travel distances during breaks.

The ideal classroom layout is rectangular, but the floor plate at Learning Tree's new quarters had several curves and angles. However, with a good deal of creative planning, we were able to make the most efficient use of the full floor plate.
