Jason Tan: Partner

Jason has a BA in environmental studies from Trent University and an MBA in international business marketing from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. He's been in charge of GIOTAN's marketing and business operations since 2005.

After spending nearly a decade studying overseas and working for the Korean government promoting what he dubs "mega-events," Jason truly appreciates the chance to work for GIOTAN and spend quality time with his family.

Jason also loves the fact that his job takes him on the road to meet with current and potential clients. Many of these individuals have become friends; some have even become weekend golf and squash buddies.

His close client relationships are no doubt due to his attitude toward business. It's essential, he says, to "always be honest, direct, accountable and accessible."

In his spare time, Jason enjoys playing with his dogs Won-Ton and Mrs. Snuggles. He also practices the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

"It's a necessity with a dog named Mrs. Snuggles," he jokes. His other passion? Trying to track down the only other Asian family with a cottage on Lake Muskoka.

"It's like looking for Sasquatch," he deadpans. "They're elusive, but I know they're out there!"
